Totally Original Beach Art .......and More!

Earlier this summer I came across wood sculptures (think a beachy kind of folk art) in KC Kollections in Eastport, Long Island. I was attracted to wood cutouts of swimmers that were bright but softly painted in a water-color style but there was also a washy aqua mermaid that my sister purchased for her summer home nearby. Both are pictured here.

When asked, the proprietors of the shop revealed the name of the artist (Suzanne Nichols) and her 'mom and pop' studio located in Connecticut. I found her website listed below and I recommend that you take a look. If you have a beach home or need a gift for a friend who lives near the shore, Suzanne might provide the perfect gift. She also has a great baby gift line and some charming holiday art as well as original dish towels incorporating some of her designs that are the perfect hostess gift. You can order

Take a look!
