About Me

My photo

Staten Island, New York, United States
Two years ago, I left my position as an Art Director at the Wall Street Journal intending to explore some creative and volunteer activities. Before the Journal, I was the Art Director of the Staten Island Advance winning several design and illustration awards. I have also worked at McGraw Hill and Simon and Schuster as a designer. Nowadays, I have three days of after-school art classes for some very talented children, collect and deliver non-perishable food to a food pantry on Staten Island, organize a Christmas Giving Tree that services almost 200 children also on Staten Island. And i babysit my three year old grandsons two days a week! This year was the 150th Anniversary of my parish, Saint Patrick's. With a group of dedicated volunteers, we assembled photos, and collected memories resulting in a historical journal published in March of this year. This blog took a backseat to the journal but will pick up again with a new look and link to a new blog associated with my art classes. Thanks to my readers (averaging about 80 a day since I started) and I hope to pick up some more readers and subscribers as I start phase 2 of 'The Daily Suse".
